This summer, Shatin New Town Plaza and LEGO Hong Kong are launching the 'Turn Play Mode On' cross-generational project, teaming up with Lo Kai to create fun family moments for families of all ages. The LEGO® Play Well study [1] surveyed 45,000 parents and children worldwide, with over 90% of parents agreeing that play is very important for children's development, but it is not a top priority. Among the respondents, 96% of Hong Kong families hope to have more playtime with their children, reflecting that playtime is precious for busy Hong Kong families.

In light of this, New Town Plaza will be collaborating with LEGO Hong Kong this summer to bring creativity into daily life and encourage everyone to turn on their 'Play Mode' with LEGO® bricks. From now until September 6, there will be 3 themed zones and 7 interactive experiences, merging LEGO® bricks with trendy music, digital art, local classic games, physical movement, and creative building. We have also invited LEGO® Certified Professional Andy Hung and local LEGO® player team 'Legend Bricks' to design a micro-landmark exhibition themed 'Creative City', featuring stunning replicas of city landmarks. In addition, there will be a LEGO® pop-up store offering the new LEGO® 【Olivia Rodrigo X LEGO®️ Editions】 series, with exclusive gifts for purchases over a designated amount. This summer, we invite families of all generations to turn on their play mode, enjoy quality family time, and embrace the summer holidays!

3 Zones and 7 Interactive Experiences! Must-play classic local games and nostalgic micro-landmark exhibition of Sha Tin landmarks

The 7 interactive experiences include a 4-meter-tall giant Lo Kai wearing headphones and acting as a lively DJ. Lo Kai will playfully twist his head to encourage everyone to get moving and immerse themselves in the summer play mode we have prepared. Inside, there is also Hong Kong's first-ever ① upgraded giant version of the local classic game 'World Peace', where players can build their own planes and cannons and engage in a cross-generational battle on a large-scale LEGO® fortress battlefield, feeling the excitement and tension of physical interaction! ② Participants can also become DJs and scratch on the LEGO® turntables, moving to the summer beats. ③ There is also a 'Creative Building Zone' where you can let your imagination run wild and build freely with LEGO® bricks, ④ as well as the 'LEGO® Building Challenge' that tests your speed and creativity in building designated patterns.

There are also two digital interactive experience areas that challenge your artistic creativity and physical agility: ⑤ The '85-inch Digital Graffiti Wall' transforms street art into digital entertainment, allowing you to design a new summer look for Lo Kai. ⑥ The 'Super Cube' interactive game tests your dynamic cells and teamwork. These include the towering three-meter-tall 'LEGO® Jenga Clock Tower' and a series of Sha Tin landmarks that evoke collective memories: Lion Rock reconstructed with a Tetris concept, Sha Tin Cultural Museum surrounded by a racecourse and featuring a childhood classic 'Checkers Board Game' on its exterior walls, as well as the Shing Mun River landscape in Sha Tin, showcasing the creativity of a 'Creative City' through LEGO® bricks. Flower Fantasy

Using rich layers of green and brown LEGO® bricks, it constructs dense tree canopies and forest paths, complemented by an elegant white glass greenhouse and wildlife scenery. It blends a luxurious resort into Hong Kong's ecological landscape in a whimsical way, making viewers feel as if they are immersed in a serene, lush forest.

Stellar Spaceport

Inspired by the classic egg-shaped architectural aesthetics and the space technology trend, this creation extends people's curiosity about the unknown universe to the vast stars. The visual center features a three-dimensional solar system and a blue planet model, with a futuristic rocket launch tower and base below. The vibrant-colored rocket, paired with the cloud scenery, seamlessly blends space vision and space travel dreams, forming a sci-fi-charming interstellar stage.

'Dragon Boat and Riverside Restaurant'
